According to a 2006 study, "people in the United States are more likely to feel their stress increases rather than decreases during the holidays," citing, "the holidays can be a hectic time for many, and a lack of money, a lack of time, and the hype and commercialism" is the cause of it all. No doubt the self-induced stress of Black Friday and Cyber Monday can lead to Subluxation Tuesday. The antidote: Don't stress over finding the right present; instead, try BEING present. And don't forget to get adjusted to help reduce stress on your nervous system too.

Healing is like the stock market. It never progresses in a straight line. You've got to expect some ups and downs along the way. You might experience a surge of relief when you first start your Chiropractic care only to be followed by a set back. Soon you're back on track, seeing huge improvements. Progress continues with bouts of highs and lows, and you may even experience a plateau or dip in your improvements. But don't make the mistake of 'pulling out of the market' early. Keep the big picture in mind. Like stocks, the gains in chiropractic care are best seen over time. When you look back and see how far you've come since your first visit, you'll realize LIFE dividends are paying off.
Ever notice that flies like to congregate around dirty, neglected garbage cans? You don't usually see them swarming near clean ones. The same can be said for germs and viruses. Germs are like flies... they're opportunistic. Give them a 'dirty' place and they'll settle and multiply. Provide a weak host and they'll take advantage. But that's not the case in clean, well kept environments. BJ Palmer, the developer of chiropractic, said, "If the germ theory was true, we would all be dead." He recognized that germs thrive in individuals who aren't strong enough to fight back. If you keep your body tidy which includes keeping your nervous system clear through regular chiropractic adjustments, germs and viruses are less capable of taking up residence in you. And if they make the mistake of trying to, your healthy, well-adjusted body will give them the boot!
